TECMO SUPER BOWL – the first licensed sports video game – includes World Football League tournaments based on SNES. TECMO SUPER BOWL seems to be the most successful sports game with balanced gameplay, reasonable action tactics and beautiful graphics that are standard with the contemporary era. Even this version can be considered as a precursor to the sports games to be released later on SNES and PSP. Each team has thirty different players, including 18 defensive players, 12 attacking players. However, each match only allows 11 players each side to play (the rest on the bench). The game maintains the playing way on the arcade platform of the original, it has penalty modes for the offending players. A newly added feature allows controlling the foul actions of players. At the same time, refining the referee’s AI system helps them make more accurate and non-controversial decisions. The added “tournament” mode has increased the experience for players.
