Super Mario Bros. 25th Anniversary Edition

Available only in Japan and Australia, this special edition of Super Mario Bros. on Virtual Console came pre-installed on the red Wii console bundles released on November 11, 2010. Super Mario Brothers 25th Anniversary Edition introduced two changes: The “?” on each Question Block was replaced with a “25,” and the copyright date on the title screen was changed from “1985” to “1985-2010.” Though Nintendo’s Japanese website called the game “Super Mario Brothers 25th Anniversary Edition,” one of their screenshots showed an alternate title of “25th Anniversary SUPER MARIO BROS.” on the Wii Channel info screen.
