The story begins when Kenshin unexpectedly meets Kaoru in Tokyo. Kaoru is searching for a man who calls himself Battousai – the legendary murderer. Initially, according to a reliable source, Kenshin was the person she was looking for, but when he approached Kenshin. Following his every action, she confirmed that he definitely couldn’t be the magical assassin she is finding. She continued to search for that killer. Sometime later she discovered that the real culprit was a former Kamiya disciple who wanted to tell back to revenge after being kicked out. Realizing his identity is about to be revealed, the assassin kidnaps Kaoru, captures her and wants to kill her to be a clue. Kaoru’s disappearance made Kenshin panic and stood still. He decided to search for her, finding the cause of the disappearance. By the traditional sword technique “Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu” he defeated the murderer. Witnessing Kenshin’s talent, the dojo asked him to join him and fight.
