There have been many complaints told that GBA is now home to single-genre games, and most of them are nothing new. “Popeye: Rush for Spinach” has put in a whole new effort, integrating both platforming and racing to change the experience a bit, and I think that maybe, it will be addictive for many people. You will rely on the ability that they bring, to deal with the hidden dangers along the way, and sometimes evil enemies. There are quite a lot of items, which provide benefits such as increasing movement/attack speed, increasing power, slowing nearby opponents, and even turns them into a chicken by items named “curse.” Not only that, the racing element allows you to play better when you can use it to move to the end of the level smoothly and quickly. However, it carries quite a lot of risks, leading to the situation of losing a life if players crash into a pit or rock. The screen is also not really big to provide a proper viewing angle, so consider carefully with your actions.
