The story takes place roughly 30 years after Pokemon Red’s (or Fire Red’s) events. When the player first arrives in Port Fromage, Team Rocket has just graduated Pokemon School when they steal 10 brand-new Pokemon that Professor Vine has just discovered. These are the 10 eeveelution types (such as poison, fighting, flying, etc.) that are still missing. In order to return the new discoveries, the player and Vine’s apprentice must travel through the region’s various cities, including Mozzarella City and Feta Town, while obtaining badges to qualify for the Pokemon league at the Gouda Plateau.
