The only difference between Pokémon Lightning Yellow and Pokémon Fire Red is in the graphics; otherwise, the two games are almost identical. However, in Pokémon Lightning Yellow, Pikachu will always follow you around. Therefore, when the game begins, Pikachu will be available to you as a starter Pokémon. Your opponent’s starter Pokémon is an Eevee.
