When Professor Oak calls and asks you to meet him at the Pokemon Center in Saffron City, you are eagerly anticipating the arrival of your first Pokemon. Upon arriving, a meteor unexpectedly slams into the building housing Silph Company! When you go outside to investigate, you find yourself in the middle of a fight with three members of Team Rocket. You find out in the middle of a fight that your Pokemon is a rare Shiny variant! Following their victory over the grunts, Team Rocket takes control of the meteor. After you wake up at your house, Professor Oak gives you a new assignment, which is to collect all of the meteor fragments so that he can conduct research on them.
