Monster Party is an action-adventure game developed by Bandai for Nintendo in 1989. The game revolves around a child named Mark. On his way home from a baseball game, he met an alien named Bert. He is seeking help to defeat the evil monsters from his world. Because Mark was the first person he met, he offered to help. He agreed and went with Bert to his world. On the way to Bert’s world, the two became one together. The enemies that players need to confront include corpses, giant spiders, zombies, medusa, dragons, and the grim reaper … The game also inspired the characters in Japanese folklore such as Banchō Sarayashiki and Inugami. After coming to Bert’s world, he will fight enemies and face many pitfalls. When he has overcome all these challenges, Mark will fight the leader, Master. Bert’s world has been saved, they will return to Mart’s house. The two separated, Bert gave Mart a gift instead of thanks.
