For that reason, Matt became hateful for bad things and decided to become a defender of justice after acquiring special abilities. Kingpin is the leader of criminal activities in the city. He realized that the hero-in-red would stand in his illegal way, so he released fake news, saying that Daredevil was being paid by him to eliminate the crime. This has caused other criminal gangs to target the hero for revenge.
